Dirt-Day a Dirty Success!
With thanks to everyone who helped, and a lot of cooperation from Mother Nature, Dirt Day was a great success! Rotarians from Angels-Murphys, Arnold, West Calaveras, and Angels Centennial, as well as their friends and families, were joined by help from the Bret Harte High Interact Club, teachers, students, and families from Mountain Oaks School, the Resource Connection, and a crew from Calaveras County Mental Health, teamed to move over 50 yards of heavy, rain drenched top-soil in a little less than three hours. With Dirt Day done, the garden is very near completion, and should be ready for spring planting. All that remains is Mulch-Day, and Tree Day. To all who helped: Thank you! You made a really tough job go fast and fun.
